I have learned since that prayer is indeed a journey towards that inner alignment, it can be a letting go of the situation, and for myself it happened powerfully on an experiential level and it is then we find us ourselves suddenly experiencing an inner peace one that goes beyond the mind, whilst at the same time we have linked in to experiencing the gift of faith which is within us.
